When the dust settles after life’s most emotional moments, what remains is everyday life—and the encounter with oneself. This is precisely what Nothing Is Necessary, the second album by Martyna Sabak, is about. Released on June 9, 2026 via SJRecords, it presents a collection of deeply personal stories woven from subtle emotions and unexpected depth.

The album explores themes that resonate universally: searching for oneself amid expectations, learning to let go, longing for the simplicity of childhood, hope, the tension between action and stillness, relationships, and love—not necessarily perfect, but genuine. Ultimately, it is about being present in the here and now. Because happiness requires less than we often believe.

Musically, the album moves between contemporary vocal jazz, soul, Latin influences, and sophisticated singer-songwriter music. Martyna’s melodic voice blends naturally with Latin rhythms, intimate ballads, infectious grooves, and touches of blues. The strength of the album lies in its authenticity: acoustic instrumentation, intimate lyrics, and the warm, soothing voice of its leader. These are songs about ordinary moments that reveal themselves to be the most meaningful.

Throughout the creation of Nothing Is Necessary, Martyna collaborated closely with Adam Jarzmik—an acclaimed pianist, composer, and arranger who co-wrote the music and created the arrangements for the entire album. His musical imagination gives the record a cohesive and contemporary character while preserving ample space for each musician’s individual expression.

Single: “One Can Talk” (“Można gadać”)

The album was preceded by the single One Can Talk, a reflection on relationships that appear, stay, or disappear, leaving only memories behind. The song poses a thought-provoking question: how much time do we spend on empty conversations, and how much on those that truly matter? About the Artist

Martyna Sabak is a vocalist, songwriter, composer, and theatre actress—an artist who combines multiple creative worlds with remarkable naturalness. She is a graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice and the Jazz Department of UMCS in Lublin. Raised on Polish rock and blues, she draws inspiration from artists such as Aretha Franklin, Adele, Jamie Cullum, and Gregory Porter.

For more than a decade she was associated with the ITP Theatre, where she performed in hundreds of productions and created her original musical monodrama Being Like Adele, which received recognition for artistic maturity at the National Festival of Small Theatres in Lublin. She is also a co-founder of the award-winning Teatr w Spódnicy (The Theatre in a Skirt).

Among her distinctions are the Young Ambassador of Lublin Award and a nomination for the Żurawie Cultural Award. She has shared the stage with the legendary pianist Włodzimierz Nahorny and, in 2019, participated in a concert tour across Brazil.

Her debut album, Byłam Jestem Będę (I Was, I Am, I Will Be), was released in 2023 and was accompanied by a nationwide concert tour. Nothing Is Necessary is a mature continuation of that artistic journey.
