About the album

“I’m Just Here to Sing” is a musical mosaic where sound intertwines with words and jazz roots blend with blues, soul, R’n’B, funk and Latin colours. All music is composed by Beata Przybytek to lyrics by masters of the written word: Andrzej Poniedzielski, Jan Wołek, Grzegorz Wasowski, Wojciech Byrski and Dariusz Dusza.

The standout track “Three Shifts” (“Trzy zmiany”; lyrics: Jan Wołek, music: Beata Przybytek) won the Grand Prix at the 3rd ZAKR Polish Song Festival Kryształowy Kamerton 2023, underscoring the artistic merit of this release.

The session features top Polish jazz and pop musicians—Bogusław Kaczmar, Adam Kowalewski, Tomasz Machański, Damian Kurasz—with special guest Paulinho Garcia, the renowned Brazilian guitarist.

Musical production and arrangements are by Tomasz Kałwak, known for his work with Dorota Miśkiewicz, Mietek Szcześniak, Natalia Niemen and Grażyna Auguścik. His creative touch lends the album its distinctive sound and nuanced aesthetic.

This is not just a collection of first-rate songs; it is an emotional, passionate story where outstanding personalities of the Polish music scene meet. Varied in mood and form—sometimes tongue-in-cheek, sometimes deeply serious—these songs speak of what matters. A must for anyone who loves rich, colourful and authentic music of the highest calibre.
