REVIEWS:

Wojtek Myczek's wonderful interpretations, also in terms of acting. Relaxation and a large dose of humor (verbal, stage and musical). Fireworks in solos. (...) Standing ovation and an additional encore. The concert sold out a month earlier, special guests in the hall, including the sponsor, the originator of the album Michał Kalita, and also Andrzej Seweryn, who was delighted. We were all delighted. Not at all, very much so.

- Paweł Brodowki, Editor-in-Chief of Jazz Forum (quote from his post on FB).

Andrzej Seweryn did not hide his delight at the interpretations of Wojtek Młynarski's songs, especially at what Wojtek Myrczek showed, musically and in terms of acting, because it is close to him. Gesture, facial expressions, diction, articulation. This is a rarity in the world of jazz. Młynarski's texts are a treasure trove of Polish culture and a historical testimony of that era. "If it weren't for the texts of Młynarski and Osiecka, we would only know about the 1960s, a little earlier and later, from PRL accounts."

- Paweł Brodowki, also quoting Andrzej Seweryn (quote from a post on FB, after the premiere concert at the Jassmine club on 4.12.2024).

Bravo, bravo, bravo. For the idea and for the execution. Very good in every aspect.

Myrczek & Schmidt Quintet masterfully interpret Młynarski's classics, giving them a new quality without losing the timeless value characteristic of these songs. The album can be treated as a tribute to the master of words and melody, who still inspires, and the jazz language of this interpretation reopens the door to his musical legacy.
